Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how LOS collects, uses, stores, and protects the personal data of users who use the application and services connected to LOS. We encourage you to read this Privacy Policy carefully before using LOS.
1. Who we are and how to contact us
LOS is an app and service dedicated to discovering events, nights out, and activities in the user's city or region.
The data controller responsible for the processing of personal data is:
Koray Aydemir
4132, Basel
Email: los@getlos.it
For questions about this Privacy Policy, the processing of personal data, or to exercise your rights, you can contact us at: los@getlos.it
2. What data we collect
We collect only the data necessary to provide, operate, protect, and improve LOS.
Data used without an account: You can use some features of LOS as a guest, without creating an account and without entering personal profile data. Even when using LOS as a guest, certain technical data strictly necessary for operation, security, and abuse prevention may be processed by the technical systems that support the Service.
Account data: If you choose to create an account using email and password, we may collect: username; email address; unique account identifier; password (handled through the authentication system and not stored by LOS in plain text); and technical information necessary to keep account access secure. A username, email address, and password are required to create and manage a LOS account. Other profile data is optional.
Sign in with Apple or Google: You may also choose to sign in or register using Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In. In that case, we may receive from the respective providers data necessary for authentication, such as a technical account identifier and, depending on the information available and your choices, your name and email address. With Sign in with Apple, Apple may provide a relay email address instead of your real email address if you choose to hide it.
Optional profile data: Depending on the information you choose to add to your profile, we may process: profile photo; personal description; gender/sex; preferred music genres; city; and preferences related to event discovery. This information is optional. It may be used to personalize event suggestions and, if you choose to make it visible, to enrich your profile in the context of social features.
Data related to events and use of the Service: We may process information about how you use LOS, including: events saved, followed, viewed, or linked to your preferences; artists, venues, genres, or types of events of interest; selected city; preferences related to reminders and notifications; and visibility settings and social preferences.
Social feature data: If you use the social features of LOS, we may process: friend requests sent, received, accepted, or declined; list of friends and blocked users; private messages sent and received; comments posted under events; reports of users or content, where available; and date, time, and technical data associated with interactions, when necessary for security, moderation, and operation of the Service. Messages and comments may contain personal data that you choose to provide. We encourage you not to share sensitive or confidential information in public content or private messages.
Location data: If you authorize location on your device, LOS may use your device location to show and sort nearby events. More information is available in section 4.
Notification-related data: If you enable notifications, we may process notification preferences and the technical identifiers necessary to send push notifications, such as event reminders, messages, comments, and friend requests.
Technical and security data: We may process technical data strictly necessary for operation, security, and abuse prevention, such as IP address, device information, operating system, date and time of access, technical logs, and information relating to errors or unauthorized access attempts.
3. Why we use the data
We use personal data to: create, authenticate, and manage the LOS account; enable access via email/password, Google Sign-In, or Sign in with Apple; display, sort, and suggest relevant events based on preferences, selected city, and, if authorized, location; allow users to save events, follow interests, and receive personalized suggestions; manage the user profile and information the user chooses to make visible; enable friend requests, messages, comments, and other social functions; send technical and transactional emails (account confirmation, account recovery, or essential communications about the Service); send push notifications when the user has enabled them; respond to support or privacy requests; prevent spam, fraud, unauthorized access, abusive content, and violations of LOS rules; protect the security of the app, users, and technical infrastructure; and comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce the Terms of Service.
4. Location and location-based services
If you grant permission, LOS may access your device location solely to show and sort events available near you, within an indicative radius of approximately 30 km. Access to location is optional. You can continue to use LOS without enabling location, for example by manually selecting a city or browsing available events.
Location is not displayed, shared, or made visible to other LOS users. LOS does not use location for advertising purposes and does not sell or disclose it to third parties for marketing purposes.
You may deny, disable, or revoke location permission at any time in your device settings. Revoking permission may reduce the accuracy of suggestions or limit the ability to automatically show you nearby events.
LOS may allow you to manually specify a city. The city is used to improve event discovery and suggestions. It may also be shown on your profile only if you choose to make it visible in your settings.
5. Profile, social features, and user content
LOS may offer a customizable profile and social features, including friend requests, private messages, and comments under events.
You can choose whether to enter and make visible information such as username, profile photo, description, city, gender/sex, and preferred music genres. Information you choose to make visible may be viewed by other users according to the privacy settings available in the app.
Comments you post under an event may be visible to users viewing the same event. Private messages are intended for the users involved in the conversation, except for limited access when necessary for security, support, investigation of reports, or compliance with the law.
Do not publish or send through LOS personal, sensitive, or confidential information that you do not wish to share. You are responsible for the content you publish or send in compliance with the Terms of Service and any Community Guidelines.
We may take reasonable measures to moderate, restrict, or remove content and accounts associated with spam, abuse, illegal activity, harassment, impersonation, or violations of Service rules.
6. Notifications
Notifications are optional. If you choose to enable them, LOS may send you notifications relating to: event reminders; updates relating to saved events; new messages; comments, replies, or interactions; friend requests and related updates; and other essential communications about operation of the Service.
You can change notification preferences in LOS settings and, at any time, disable notifications in your device settings.
7. Data sharing and third-party providers
LOS does not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for third-party advertising or marketing purposes.
To provide, operate, protect, and improve LOS, we use technical providers that may process certain personal data solely on our behalf and to the extent necessary for their respective services: Supabase (authentication, database, data storage, and storage of any profile photos); Resend (sending transactional emails, including account confirmations, account recovery, and other technical communications); Apple (access via Sign in with Apple and delivery of push notifications on Apple devices, when enabled); Google (access via Google Sign-In, when chosen by the user).
These providers may process data such as account identifiers, email address, technical data necessary for operation, and, where applicable, content uploaded by the user. They are not authorized to use such data for their own purposes incompatible with providing their services.
We may also disclose personal data if required by law, by a competent authority, or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, security, or integrity of LOS, its users, or third parties.
8. Retention and security
Personal data is stored through the technical infrastructure used by LOS, including authentication, database, and storage services provided by Supabase.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. Such measures may include access controls, authentication, secure connections, and limiting data access to only those persons and systems that need it.
We retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide LOS, maintain the related account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce our agreements.
When an account is deleted, we delete or anonymize the associated personal data, except for data we must retain for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, or handling of disputes.
No system can guarantee absolute security. We nevertheless commit to implementing reasonable measures to protect the information processed.
9. Your choices and your rights
You can update or delete optional profile information at any time in the app settings. You can also control preferences relating to notifications, location, profile visibility, and social features.
You may request information about personal data processed, request correction, or request deletion by contacting us at los@getlos.it. Some requests may be subject to limits provided by law or necessary for security and proper operation of the Service.
For location, you can grant, deny, or revoke permission in your device settings. Revoking location authorization may limit some features for discovering nearby events.
You can also manage notifications from LOS settings or your device settings.
10. Account and data deletion
You can request deletion of your account directly from the app settings.
Deleting an account involves removal or anonymization of associated personal data, including profile data, preferences, friends, and saved events, except for data that must be retained for legal obligations, security, fraud prevention, or dispute handling.
Some content you posted, such as comments, may be deleted or anonymized so that it is no longer linked to your profile, depending on the technical and moderation needs of the Service.
If you cannot complete deletion from the app, you can contact us at los@getlos.it.
11. Minors
LOS is not intended for persons under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from persons under 18 years of age.
If you believe that a person under 18 has provided us with personal data without authorization, contact us at los@getlos.it. We will take reasonable steps to verify the report and delete the affected personal data, where appropriate.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the Service, our data processing practices, or legal obligations.
We will indicate the date of the last update at the top of the page. If changes are material, we may inform you through the app, by email, or by means of a visible notice before the changes take effect.
Continued use of LOS after the changes take effect will be subject to the updated Privacy Policy, to the extent permitted by law.
